The Winter Sound Garden at Wild River State Park

After getting 6 inches of fresh snow, we had a very special Luminary edition of my Winter Sound Garden in the woods near the Visitor Center at Wild River State Park, as part of their annual Candlelight celebration on Saturday Feb 8. Folks skied, hiked, and snowshoed along candlelit trails and into the Winter Sound Garden, where we gathered around the bonfires to hear the mini choir sing “Snowflakes” and poet Rosetta Peters read poems and share stories. Big thanks to Naturalist Sean Hoppes and the entire Wild River staff, as well as the many volunteers and Friends Group members who helped out and made it all possible!
