HIGHER ED

As a teaching artist, JG Everest designs and leads meaningful hands-on workshops and activities across disciplines of performance and perception, working to deepen connection and broaden awareness through interactive, interdisciplinary dynamic actions and in-depth conversation.  Areas of emphasis:  reciprocity, deep listening, ceremony, elements of story, site-specific investigation and creation.

JG Everest has designed and led college-level workshops and engagement activities at several institutions including Florida State University / MANCC, University of Limerick (IR), University of Minnesota, Macalester College, Keene College, Carleton College, and Arizona State University.

For Fall Semester 2025, he co-designed and co-led a “First Year Class” at Macalester College with Professors John Kim (Media Studies) and Krista Langberg, (Dance) entitled “Entangling Art, Activism, and Everyday Life”, with onsite classes and workshops at the Ordway Field Station & Biological Study Area near the Mississippi River.
