For over two decades, James Everest has worked with a wide variety of organizations, institutions, businesses and individuals, offering unique perspectives, innovative approaches, and valuable connections across a variety of organizational contexts.
In 2016, he founded Wavelets Creative, an arts org dedicated to developing new models for engagement, discovery, and transformation in our communities.
He has worked with the University Of Minnesota, Walker Art Center, Corcoran Neighborhood Organization (CNO), Minneapolis Parks and Rec Board (MPRB), Groove Garden Records, The Dinkytowner Cafe, Emily Johnson / Catalyst Dance, The Electric Fetus, Sound Unseen Film Festival, MSP Film Society, First Avenue, Oyate Hotanin (Voice of the People), The Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater, Rhymesayers Entertainment, and Nokomis East Neighborhood Association (NENA.
He has assisted arts and community organizations and individual artists alike in strategic vision, programming, engagement strategies, as well as grant writing, successfully securing MSAB Arts Touring, Artist Initiative, LRAC, MRAC Next Step, Arts Learning, Community Arts; JEROME, McKnight, BUSH fellowships and Forecast Public Art grants among others.
