I love collaborating across disciplines and creating sonic accompaniment for live performance, including poetry. In recent years I’ve been blessed to work with many great performing poets, including Rosetta Peters, with whom I’ve recently released a new album of original pieces, “The Hummingbird’s Dance” (2022) and Jeffrey Skemp, with whom Karen Townsend and I formed “Skemp + Weather”, releasing our debut album, “The Hum of the Sky”, in 2020. Both records were recorded and mixed by our good friend Ben Durrant. (Roma di Luna, Andrew Bird, Gold Minefield) at his Crazy Beast studio in Minneapolis.

Poetry and storytelling have always been an important element in my ongoing Sound Gardens projects, and our free community site-specific poetry and writing workshops offer a unique opportunity for a wide variety of artists to engage and contribute work and perspectives to these experiences.
