Choreographer Emily Johnson and Catalyst are celebrating Catalyst's 15-Year Anniversary with a very special Preview Party and Benefit for our new performance piece, called SHORE, on Sunday Sept 29, 3-7pm at Northrop Plaza. (SHORE will premiere at Northrop Auditorium in June 2014 as part of Northrop's Grand Reopening Celebrations.) I've been fortunate to be a part of Catalyst since Lateduster first collaborated with Emily on Plain Old Andrea With A Gun back in 2002. In 2004, I became Catalyst's Music Director and have collaborated on every show since. The Anniversary Party will include live musical performances from 15 years of past Catalyst projects, including a rare reunion set by LATEDUSTER!! II'll also be performing with The Grave Trio as we will be rhythm section to a number of very special guests...
The GRAVE TRIO is myself, Ryan Lovan, and Ben Durrant, (rhythm section/production team for Roma di Luna) and since 2011 we've been playing as both an instrumental trio and as a backing band for Channy Leaneagh (Polica) and Duluth singer-songwwriter Toby Thomas Churchill (The Alrights). We've developed several new instrumental pieces and have played a few shows and posted some early recordings on our FACEBOOK PAGE. We're excited to record more in the studio this November with old friend Rich Mattson. Our next show is Friday Oct 11 at Harriet Brewing in south Minneapolis with Toby Thomas Churchill. (see gigs below)
Check out this great video for Toby Churchill's song "Belong".

Body Duet features tracks from several of the BLACKFISH TYB Tour collection, as well as the track "Ghost Dog" from Sans Le Systeme.
LATEDUSTER returns for our first show in nearly 2 years, performing at the Catalyst 15-Year Anniversary Party & Benefit with several other great musical acts from 15 years of Catalyst projects. We'll again perform our newsong, "Transformador", as well as several old tunes. Great photos and links at our Lateduster facebook page from our show at The Cedar Cultural Center in December 2011. Stay tuned for more developments....
UNGUIDED, the Bonnie Prince Billy-meets-Dinosaur Jr. band I'm in with ex Roma di Luna guitarist Ben Durrant celebrated the release of our 4th full length CD Visible From Space in 2012. Live shows are rare, but do happen every once in a while. Listen and / or download tracks at our bandcamp site.
Roma di Luna has been on hiatus for over 2 years, but Channy's new band, POLICA, is amazing and Alexei's Kill The Vultures have a newrecord they're about to release. Ben, Ryan and I are playing with Duluth singer-songwriter Toby Thomas Churchill (The Alrights) who recorded his great solo debut record DEATH with Ben at Crazy Beast. Here's a clip of us performing "Ghost Dance" from our "Last" Roma show, without Alexei, in Luvurne, MN In October.
